How to enable Spotlight desktop on Windows 11

Windows Spotlight is a feature that improves Windows’ visual appeal. It is designed to automatically download and show a large collection of high-resolution photographs from Bing to display one after another on the Windows lock screen. Windows spotlight is available on both Windows 11 and Windows 10.

The Windows spotlight feature, now known as “Spotlight collection” on the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22518 update, has been upgraded to a new level and automatically changes the desktop wallpaper each day in accordance with various themes. Simply said, Windows 11 allows for automatic theme-based changes to the desktop wallpaper and lock screen, resulting in a more energizing user experience. To use the Spotlight collection feature, all you have to do is turn it on.

The Windows 11 Insider community is currently testing the Spotlight collection from Microsoft. You must have Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22518 or a later version installed on your computer in order to use this feature.

By following a few easy steps, Windows 11 Build 22518 or later users can enable and experience this feature

Enable Spotlight collection on Windows 11

Step 1: Open the Windows Settings application by pressing Windows + i.

Step 2: On the Settings window that opens, click on Personalization.

Step 3: Next, click on Background.

Step 4: On the Background settings screen, click the “Personalize your background” drop-down menu.

Step 5: Click on “Spotlight Collection”.

Click on “Spotlight Collection”

When you active Spotlight Collection, you can see the desktop wallpaper changed, and also a new Spotlight icon at the top right of the screen. Clicking on the icon will tell you more about the available wallpaper options.
