Windows 11 includes a lot of motion effects, animations and blur effects, applied when users perform window switching operations or open applications on the system. These effects are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also enhance the user experience. However, they can also cause low-end PC systems to become sluggish, causing lag for certain actions.
For a more fluid experience, you can easily turn off these animations. Here’s how to do it.
Turn off Windows 11 motion effects
First, open the Windows Settings app by pressing the Windows + i key combination. Or you can also open the Start menu, search for the keyword “Settings” and then click the gear icon that returns.
In the Settings interface that opens, look at the menu on the right and click on the “Accessibility” item. On the Accessibility settings screen that appears on the right, click “Visual Effects”.
In Visual Effects, click the toggle switch to the right of the “Animation Effects” option to turn it into “Off”.
That’s all you need to do. The changes will be saved automatically. Close Settings and enjoy a new, faster and more flexible Windows experience on your system!
If you change your mind and want to re-enable the animation, open Settings and navigate again to Accessibility > Visual Effects and change “Animation Effects” to “On”.
